Summary

In this role you will help to facilitate the smooth running of our new Creative Writing Group.

Detailed description

In this role you will help to facilitate the smooth running of our new Creative Writing Group. This involves helping to boost the confidence of a group with a variety of writing styles, interests, and ways of working.

You will facilitate discussions about the craft and practicalities of writing, sharing skills and ideas, and exploring topics. Volunteers at our Norwich based writing group describe the role as a real privilege and incredibly rewarding, especially when people share their writing for the first time. 


We are looking for volunteers who:

  • have an interest in books, writing, and story telling
  • are literate to at least GCSE standard
  • have broad taste in literature
  • are keen to encourage others to reach their creative potential
  • have some knowledge of technology, laptops, tablets, PCs etc

Providing practical and emotional support at our hubs in Norwich, King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth and in hospitals across Norfolk. Together with social and well-being activities for adults and children, young people and their families, daily living equipment, befriending services and specialist housing, we help those affected by sight loss to live life fully.
