Summary

We are looking for Volunteers to support in our kitchen the role will be varied and will provide support to our kitchen staff.

Detailed description

Please note this is not a front of house role we are primarily looking for kitchen only support.


Responsibilities will include:

 

·     Keeping Kitchen/storeroom tidy 

·     Checking if stock is in date

·     Letting kitchen staff know if they are low on anything

·     Comply with food hygiene and safety requirements

·     Maintaining high standards of cleaning

·     Report all near misses, accidents, and incidents.

·     Washing up

·     Supporting the chefs where needed.

·     Assisting with Food Prep  

·     Supporting chefs with baking tasks

About Priscilla Bacon Hospice

Priscilla Bacon Lodge has provided Specialist Palliative Care to people around Norfolk for 40 years. The new Priscilla Bacon Lodge opened in September 2023 and is home to a state-of-the-art palliative care unit. It has been built on an 8-acre site adjacent to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Century Place Colney Norwich NR4 7YA. As well as inpatient beds, a day unit and a wellbeing centre, the Lodge will act as hub for community-based services, enabling people to receive care in their own homes. The 8-acre site has given the unique opportunity of delivering the landscape, garden, formal gardens and a wildflower meadow
