As an operational heritage railway we offer multiple opportunities to train and volunteer in operational roles.Detailed description
From working on our Stations and dealing with customers, managing the safe dispatch of our trains, travelling as Ticket Inspector on our services, training as a Guard, learning Signalling right through to becoming a Driver.
We can offer an enjoyable, social experience - a unique way of learning new skills and developing new friendships - volunteering is great way to keep physically fit and mentally alert.
These roles make a real impact on our customers enjoyment of their visit.

About North Norfolk Railway
Running heritage Steam and Diesel Trains from Sheringham to Holt through the North Norfolk Countryside, run by volunteers trained in a variety of roles - everything from working in our shops and buffets through to driving our trains. We offer the chance to learn new skills in a dynamic and friendly environment. We pride ourselves on being fun to volunteer with, offer a sociable workplace and welcome newcomers to join us.
