Summary

Providing support to participants (aged 16 upwards) to enable them to gain maximum benefit from their riding sessions.

Detailed description

The group provides therapeutic riding sessions for participants, aged 16 upwards, in order to benefit their physical and mental wellbeing.

As a side walker, you will walk alongside the rider to provide encouragement and support to help them develop their skills and confidence.

We are also looking to recruit a 'Meet and Greet' volunteer; this role involves welcoming participants when they arrive, asking them and their carers about any relevant changes to their health etc. and sharing this information with the session coach.

Currently the sessions are held on alternate Wednesdays during term time, between 10 am and 12 midday.

Riding experience is not essential, and you will be given training; however you must be comfortable around ponies and horses.

Please contact us to discuss these opportunities in more detail.
