Summary
A a Trustee to provide guidance and support in the management of the Group. As a Committee member to undertake one of the officer roles dependent on experienceDetailed description
The riding centre, where the Group has been based for almost 25 years, is to close later this year. We have found a suitable new venue, the Kimblewick Equestrian Centre near to Dereham, and plan to move there sometime after Easter.
The change has prompted a number of our Trustees and Committee members, who have been with the Group for many years, to retire. We are keen to hear from new volunteers who are supportive of our aims and ambitions and willing to undertake some of the management responsibilities.
We are a very small Group but as a Charity and member of the national Riding for the Disabled Association we need to ensure we follow due process.
There are usually 4 - 5 meetings a year. Further information can be provided on request.
About Mid Norfolk Group of Riding for the Disabled
The Group provides therapeutic riding sessions for participants aged 5 - 16 years. Volunteers provide support and encouragement to our riders to ensure they get the maximum benefit from their session. We will soon be moving to a new riding centre at North Tuddenham and are keen to recruit new volunteers.
