Summary
Gorleston CCTV are on the lookout for new crew members to monitor our 27 cameras which cover Gorleston High Street, Magdalen and the sea front.Detailed description
Gorleston CCTV are based in Gorleston Police Station and work closely with the officers to ensure the safety of our community. They are seeking volunteers to help monitor the CCTV cameras for offenders, car accidents, missing persons, suspicious behaviour, trips and falls and other risks to the public. The cameras are the eyes and ears of the police, meaning they can respond more quickly to incidents when they occur.
Volunteers must be:
- Over 18
- Highly observant
- A good communicator
- Confident speaking on radio systems including communicating with police officers
- Accurate
- Computer literate (inc MS Word, Excel etc.)
- Professional at all times
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
Volunteers must be able to commit to 3 hours per week on the same day at the same time (during Mondays – Fridays 09.00 – 17.30).
Full in-house training is given to each new volunteer.
