Summary

Whether you're an art enthusiast, a walker, nature lover or curious, participate in creative walks and experience events that inspire creativity and action.

Detailed description

Beach of Dreams is a platform for celebrating, reflecting and imagining new possible climate futures for our coastlines and planet.

The festival takes place outdoors and in public spaces and is free to attend – everyone is welcome.

We aim to engage hundreds of thousands across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in a major interdisciplinary, outdoor and digital creative programme that fosters a deeper connection with our communities, coastline and planet. Through participatory art, creative walks, and activations, Beach of Dreams invites audiences to explore the unique role of art and environmental science in the climate conversation, offering a hopeful perspective on the future of our coasts and planet.

Beach of Dreams invites you to walk together, share stories, learn about our coastlines, imagine possible futures and work collectively towards positive change.

Join us in asking,“How can we creatively reimagine our future?”

Whether you’re an individual, a community, or an organisation, there are numerous ways to get involved with Beach of Dreams. Join our vibrant network of groups and organizations across the UK, each bringing their coastlines to life. Contribute your own design to our expanding national artwork, host your own event, or simply attend the programme starting in May 2025.

About Cultural Connections Volunteering

Cultural Connections is a NEW project promoting volunteering in the arts, heritage and cultural sector. We've just added a few events and activities but there are plenty more to come!!!

It's an easy and fun way to get into volunteering for residents of Great Yarmouth and East Suffolk. You can volunteer at exciting arts, heritage and cultural events and activities, including festivals. Volunteer as little or as much as you like and choose the kind of volunteering that works for you, including online volunteering . If you’ve never volunteered before, or you think it might be difficult for you, we’ll support you every step of the way. You'll meet new people, learn new skills, build confidence, and even earn rewards.
