- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school
- Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff
- Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent The role is strategic rather than operational. Trustees do not get involved with the day to day running of the school, instead supporting and challenging the school’s leadership team to drive school improvement.

- The ambition to see our new school grow and develop and provide an excellent educational experience for local young people
What will it involve?
Trustees usually attend around 6-7 meetings a year. These are held in the evenings at one of our schools or there is an option to join remotely. The role is unpaid, and the term of office is 4 years.
Training and induction will be provided – this includes compulsory training in the first 6 months and further training to develop your role as you become an established member of the Board.
