Summary

Make a difference to those who experience loneliness and isolation through meeting at local coffee shop or social activity groups.

Detailed description

We are looking for volunteers over the age of 18 to join our Befriending Service to meet clients for regular chats at a local coffee shop or to attend one of our social activities. We have many clients living in Norwich who are lonely and isolated and we know that a friendly chat and companionship can improve well-being, build confidence and give a great sense of belonging.

We have a dedicated team who will support your volunteering journey from your initial enquiry through to an induction training session and finally ‘match’ you with someone who shares similar interests to support conversation and spark a new friendship. The time commitment will be agreed between you and your Befriendee so it can be flexible around your lifestyle.

As we work with vulnerable adults all volunteers are subject to a DBS check and we do ask for two refences before you start volunteering with us.
