Summary

We are looking for people from our local communities to help shape the direction of our organisation. Could that be you?

Detailed description

Do you have an interest in mental health? Maybe you have lived experience and would welcome the opportunity to share that in a way that gives hope to others?

Are you an aspiring leader looking to gain experience of strategy and leadership?

Or perhaps you are working in a profession that could help the organisation as it continues to navigate the challenges of this time?

We are looking for Trustees to join our Board. Trustees are the volunteers who lead charities and decide how they are run. Sometimes they are called board members or the board.Trustees make decisions about the direction a charity takes and how its purposes will be carried out. They also make sure that the charity has the resources and policies it needs and to comply with legal requirements.

You do not need any previous experience. We will ensure you have the training and induction you need to ensure a smooth introduction to the organisation and the work of the board.

What commitment is needed?

Board meetings take place four times a year with additional planning days held twice a year. Currently meetings take place in person at the Julian Support Head Office in Norwich.

About Julian Support

Julian Support works with people across Norfolk and Suffolk, supporting them to improve their mental health and well-being. We provide a range of services including accommodation-based support, support to people in their own homes, hospital in-reach, and admission prevention. We also support people who have come in contact with the Criminal Justice system.

Julian Support is a great place to work. The type of work we do means that we really do make a difference to those we support. Our vision is that the people that work for us not only have the skills for the job but the right attitude and life experience to empathise with those we support. We vale the strengths, expertise and lived experience and diversity of the people we employ.

We encourage people to come and join us if you have a strong sense of activism and want to make a difference.
