Summary

Volunteers are needed to support patients with activities such as having a sing-along, throwing a ball around or playing bingo.

Detailed description

The aim of the role is to provide support to patients with activities and simple exercises such as:

  • singing and other music activities
  • board games/quizzes
  • newspaper/book reading
  • arts and crafts
  • simple sports and chair exercises
  • and more - if you have hobby you would like to share with others, please let us know


Activities may be run a group setting within the ward day room, in a bay or 1:1 with patients.


Volunteering for this role involves an ongoing weekly commitment on a Monday, Thursday or Friday from 10.30-12.30 approximately.


To volunteer with us, you will need to complete a DBS check, provide two character references and attend an Induction/Training Session before you start.
