Summary
Volunteers are needed to support patients with activities such as having a sing-along, throwing a ball around or playing bingo.Detailed description
The aim of the role is to provide support to patients with activities and simple exercises such as:
- singing and other music activities
- board games/quizzes
- newspaper/book reading
- arts and crafts
- simple sports and chair exercises
- and more - if you have hobby you would like to share with others, please let us know
Activities may be run a group setting within the ward day room, in a bay or 1:1 with patients.
Volunteering for this role involves an ongoing weekly commitment on a Monday, Thursday or Friday from 10.30-12.30 approximately.
To volunteer with us, you will need to complete a DBS check, provide two character references and attend an Induction/Training Session before you start.
