Summary

Volunteers are needed to support patients to engage in activities such as puzzles, games, reading, crafts and conversations.

Detailed description

As an Activity Support Volunteer you will provide support to patients with activities and simple exercises as part of the ‘Reconditioning the Nation’ campaign. By encouraging patients with activities including chair and bay exercises, quizzes, and puzzles, boardgames, newspaper reading, arts and crafts, and conversations the you will empower patients to implement positive changes to their own health and wellbeing. Activities will be run on a 1:1 basis.

Time commitment​

2-3 hours per week on an agreed day.​

You will be supported by your Volunteer Co-ordinator, who will also support you through your induction and provide ongoing support throughout your time as a volunteer. ​


All volunteers will need complete a Standard DBS Check and provide two appropriate character references. All volunteers will attended the Volunteers’ Induction session.
