Summary

Our new Fishing Group meets once a month on a Saturday morning and we are looking for additional volunteers to help people with disabilities. No experience reqd

Detailed description

Following a pilot project in 2022 we are hosting a monthly fishing group for people with disabilities on the outskirts of Norwich and want to add a couple of volunteers to our support team.

Working with a small group of 4-6 people with disabilities we meet on one Saturday morning a month (April to October) at fishing lakes on the outskirts of Norwich reachable by public transport. The support volunteer's role is to encourage and assist our members to set up their kit and enjoy the fishing experience. Some experience of fishing would be good but there are usually more experienced anglers around to help so if your experience of fishing is limited, just helping out can be good.

In return we offer full volunteer training and the opportunity to get involved in over 300 different activities each year, once we have cleared your references and you have completed your induction training. We also pay your travelling costs so you are not out of pocket.
