Summary

Norwich is flooded with visitors at this time of year and many come into the amazing building. We need people to make them welcome.

Detailed description

Very often people come into the building thinking it's the cathedral! Our team of friendly welcomers are there to give them information about the building and any events which may be happening while they are in the city. We usually have at least one free lunchtime concert a week and most weeks there are evening concerts as well, though these are not free. No detailed knowledge of the history of the building is required - the team will slowly bring you up to speed. You will always be with at least one other person when you are on duty.

If you have time on your hands and enjoy meeting people from all over the world, this one's for you!

Free parking may be available when you are working - please ask when talking to us.

About St Peter Mancroft Church

St Peter Mancroft is the very large church you see opposite the Forum right in the centre of Norwich. It is an active church in the Church of England, deeply involved in working with our foodbank, housing issues - everything you would expect us to be doing. Along with that we organise concerts, free of charge, which run right throughout the year as our gift to the City. We make no demands of the people who work with us, other than that they l;ike to treat others with kindness. We do not ask whether they have faith.
