An opportunity to support St Martins at our donation storage unit.
St Martins has a vacancy for a volunteer based at our storage unit based in Hellesdon.

Detailed description

Supporting Tasks

To support the team to:

·      Organise the safe and appropriate receipt of donated items.

·      Complete appropriate records and receipts.

·      Check donations for suitability.

·      Ensure items are stored appropriately for access as required.

·      Complete logs and records as required.

·      Meet all health and safety requirements within the environment.

Person specification:

·      Ability to lead by example.

·      Numeracy and literacy minimum level 2

·      A willingness to learn.

·      A desire to provide judgement free services to the people we support.

·      An ability to liaise in a professional manner with statutory bodies.

·      An ability to listen and pass on information.

·      Ability to communicate with others including the people we support, team members and external organisations,

·      Ability to understand issues from other people’s point of view.

·      An understanding of professional boundaries and the importance of confidentiality

·      A willingness to read, understand and abide by our policies and procedures.

A driving licence would be an advantage.

·      Service specific delivered by Head of Life Skills
