Summary

We're looking for people who love to dance and meet new people. If this sounds like you, we'd like to here from you!

Detailed description

Our Dance to Health programme combines dance with postural stability exercises to help to reduce falls in older people. It also provides a friendly, social environment for participants to combat loneliness and isolation.

Our Dance Support Volunteers play an essential role in every Dance to Health group, helping us create a safe and friendly environment for all our participants. As a Dance Support Volunteer, you will offer support to participants. You might help to demonstrate seated options under the direction of the Dance Artist.

You will assist with the smooth running of the session by helping with registration and data collection. You will help set up the space ready for the session. As well as this, you will contribute to creating a friendly, welcoming environment by helping with the social time at the end.

This role is open to anyone over the age of 18 with some experience of dance, movement, physical theatre, movement therapies or sports. We are particularly looking for people to support out classes on Wednesdays 10-12 at Old Lakenham and/or Thursdays 10-12 at the Norman Centre or 2-4 at Pilling Park.
