Summary
Could you help out by stewarding this lovely family-orientated Christmas Lantern Parade in Great Yarmouth Town Centre?Detailed description
A Christmas Lantern Parade around Great Yarmouth Town Centre is planned for the afternoon of Saturday 14th December and the Town Centre Partnership is seeking volunteer stewards to support the event.
Volunteers last year told us they had a really lovely time and it’s a only commitment of about 2 hours, so why not help out this charming event?
The parade is made up of participant’s of all ages, many in family groups, who will have attended one of the lantern making workshops prior to the parade. There will also be spare lanterns available for those who want to turn up on the day. Numbers attending aren’t definite but, based on previous years, there will be between 100 to 200 participants.
Volunteers will be needed from about 3pm and the parade will leave about 3:30 (or when it is dark enough for the lanterns to be effective), making its way around the Town Centre. We will end up either at the Christmas tree or under the canopy of the covered market (depending on the weather), where carols will be sung.
