Summary
Visit lovely "M" in her house for some tea and natter. She'd love the company, and you would as well!Detailed description
"M" is a very lovely and very (emphasis on very) chatty lady! She's in her 90s but doesn't look a day over 70 and is more lucid than you and I together. She has been living by herself for many years now and is homebound; she has also recently lost her only daughter and she has no friends or family to come and visit.
She has carers that come in daily to support her, but she misses having meaningful social connections. Despite her loneliness, she is always perky and up for a chat.
She is very hard-of-hearing, so telephone befriending is not an option, and be aware that you will have to speak very loudly! (Don't worry, she will do most of the talking and keep you entertained throughout your whole visit!).
The position is flexible, although we would encourage weekly visits on the days that she doesn't see the gardener, whose company she enjoys.
We would provide you with training and support, as well as travelling expenses.
