About Anteros Arts Foundation

Anteros Arts Foundation is a charity dedicated to the promotion and teaching of the arts in Norfolk. We believe art is fundamental to people’s well-being and that it should be accessible to everyone.

A year-round hub of engaging activities, our Norwich home is a charming rabbit warren of Grade II Heritage-listed buildings at the intersection of Fye Bridge and Fishergate Streets, just down from Tombland. Two light-filled galleries host exhibitions from local and national artists; our characterful Music Room showcases the best in folk, jazz and classical performers; our generous teaching spaces cater to curious art lovers of all abilities and backgrounds through a wide variety of classes and workshops; and our shop showcases ceramics, textiles, jewellery and prints from local artists and makers. And all set around an exquisite courtyard catered by The Merchant’s House café and bar.

We also directly support over twenty artists with affordable individual and shared studios, and hire several of our delightful spaces for weddings, meetings, workshops, parties, photoshoots and more. Without Arts Council funding or the like, our small staff relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to help welcome the public, run the activities, and maintain the buildings.

Anteros – an oasis of art, learning and community for all Norfolk, right in the heart of Norwich.
