We need Volunteers to set up & run monthly peer to peer support groups in Norfolk. Volunteers must be over 18 & bereaved by suicide for at least 2 years.
Our vision is that no one bereaved by suicide has to face their loss alone.
Volunteers will run peer to peer support groups to provide a safe and confidential space for those who have been bereaved to speak about their loss and experiences.
SoBS groups meet monthly and Volunteers will be asked to:
Work with two other volunteers to facilitate the monthly support group
Set up the venue to make it a welcoming and comfortable space
Offer refreshments for all those attending
Answer telephone and email queries from new and existing group members
In return SoBS offers:
Extensive training and full support for Volunteers
A group mobile phone and email account
Monthly Volunteer meetings for debriefing and communication purposes
Supervision for all Volunteers
