Summary

Provide face to face companionship. We are looking for special people to visit special clients across Norwich, Broadland, Great Yarmouth, and South Norfolk.

Detailed description

Our clients struggle with Social Isolation and Loneliness (SIL) for a variety of reasons, often due to a variety of neuro diverse conditions.

With clients across four districts of Norfolk we are looking for great people who can spare an hour to two a week to spend with someone who lacks one of the basics of life, company.

The role may involve visiting clients in their home, meeting them for a walk or going out with them to an activity.

What's in it for you? Well, how about spending a hour a week to change someone's outlook on life, to give them something to look forward to and help build up social confidence, if that does not give you the warm fuzzes I am not sure what will!

You are matched to one of our wonderful clients so you will have things in common.

We are looking for volunteers who are empathetic, warm and most importantly great listeners.

If you have the skills and time this may be the ideal role for you.

Do you have lived experience of SIL? Do you understand how it can affect every facet of life? We would really like to hear from you.

We offer training for all our volunteers.

Please contact Paul for more details and to learn how to apply to join the team.
